Root beer Pork Roast

Just a little FYI, I ALWAYS overcook my meats, making sure they are DONE! (They still taste good, I just like to be safe.) With that being said,
Put the following in the crock pot on high for 8 hours:
  • pork loin or pork roast
  • 1 onion sliced into rings
  • enough root beer to almost cover the roast
  • salt, pepper, and garlic powder (I like lots of seasoning too!)
After 8 hours, shred the pork and make this sauce:
  • 2 C. root beer
  • 1 large can of green chili sauce
Bring this to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes. Add shredded pork to it and then eat on buns as a sandwich (which can get soggy) or eat over rice.
